Frequently Asked

Common questions, real answers.

Built for contractors who don't have time for runaround.

What's the insurance and contractor status setup?
Every tradesperson on the platform is an independent 1099 subcontractor who has signed our Subcontractor Master Agreement and provided proof of insurance — including general liability and, where applicable to their business structure, their own workers compensation. NEPA-PRO LLC maintains its own general liability coverage as the staffing platform. We collect and verify Certificates of Insurance before any dispatch and can provide them to you on request. All onboarding paperwork is available in the Documents Hub.
Where does the tradesperson actually show up?
The shipping address you enter at Stripe checkout is the jobsite. That's where we deploy the tradesperson on your start date. If the jobsite is different from your billing address, no problem — Stripe collects them separately. We confirm the address and arrival window by phone within one business hour of payment.
How do I tell you about the project, access, and on-site contact?
Stripe checkout has three custom fields that capture everything we need before dispatch: (1) Project description & scope, (2) Site contact name & cell, and (3) Access notes (gate codes, lockbox, where to park, dog warnings, etc.). Anything we miss, dispatch will catch on the confirmation call.
What's the difference between Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master/Foreman?
Apprentice: Enrolled or recently graduated, working under journey supervision, ratio-compliant. Journeyman: Completed apprenticeship, fully credentialed, can work independently to plans. Master/Foreman: Senior tradesperson with leadman experience, capable of running a small crew, pulling permits where applicable, and interfacing with AHJs and inspectors.
What service area do you cover in NEPA?
Same-week dispatch across Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Wayne, Pike, Wyoming, Susquehanna, and parts of Carbon and Schuylkill counties. Outside that radius — call us at 570-677-7971 and we'll quote a mobilization fee.
Can I book a crew, not just one tradesperson?
Yes. Book multiple positions back-to-back through checkout (e.g. one Master Electrician + two Journeymen for a service upgrade). Larger crews — 4+ heads — get a dedicated dispatcher; call us directly to coordinate.
What happens if I cancel or the job runs short?
Cancel or reschedule any booking up to 24 hours before dispatch for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, half-day and full-day bookings are non-refundable but credits roll forward 90 days. Weekly bookings can be paused mid-week with prior notice.
Do tradespeople bring their own tools?
Hand tools and standard PPE — yes, always. Power tools and trade-specific equipment are tradesperson-specific. Specialty equipment (lifts, generators, welders, line trucks) is the contractor's responsibility unless you specifically request equipment-included staffing — call for a quote.
What about overtime, weekends, and holidays?
Hours past 8 in a day or 40 in a week bill at 1.5× the listed hourly rate. Sundays and recognized holidays bill at 2×. All overtime is auto-calculated and added to your invoice — no gotchas.
